Winter wedding and engagement photos in Chicago

With the winter in full bloom, I’ve decided to add some photos that I especially like. Although, cold as cold can be sometimes, these wonderful couples had no problem getting comfortable in this weather. I love taking photos in the snow, as this makes for incredible backgrounds. Whether it’s day or night-time photos, Chicago has something to offer to everyone, winter or summer. More winter photography to come in the next blog.

Night-time engagement photography in Chicago

When I first spoke to Brittani about photographing their engagement, she wasn’t sure as to the locations she wanted, but it had to be night-time engagement photography in Chicago. So, we hit the most known spots and some not so known, but thanks to this wonderful couple, Brittani and Vito, I learned of a new spot for night-time photography, and it happens to be one of my favorites. Only in Chicago, one can find new locations all the time. I will for sure use it in my next ventures.

Chicago Wedding Engagement Photographer Gia Photos

Although winter is not the ideal time for wedding and engagement photos for some couples, I had the luck of getting some wonderful people who not only wanted a winter wonderland look, but also got it. Weather actually worked in their favor. These are just some of my favorite photos and I’d like to thank all the couples for putting up with the cold for these unique photos.

Shannon and Cody’s winter engagement photos in Chicago, Illinois

Shannon and Cody truly wanted to capture winter in Chicago, and that’s why we decided to first go to Lincoln Park, and then to North Ave Beach. It’s no surprise that one will find great spots anywhere in Lincoln Park, but haven’t been at North Avenue Beach in quite some time, I was pleasantly surprised to see the beach looking like a another planet almost. The frozen snow on the sand make for quite a unique look in photos. I’m very happy that this wonderful couple decided to be a little risky for our engagement photos. Best wishes to them.

Lex and Rodney’s amazing engagement photo session at Lincoln Park, Chicago Illinois

Lex and Rodney’s amazing engagement photo session took place at Lincoln Park in Chicago. Although it was a true winter day, with wind and snow, we got lucky enough to have some sun and make a few photos look like an autumn photo session. At Lincoln Park you always get more than what you need. From the view of the city, to nature and everything ion between. And, of course, them being Bears fans, we had to get a few shots with the jerseys on. Their engagement story and photos can be found on “How he Asked” I wish them nothing but the best in their marriage!
